Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

An absolutely fantastic RPG for PS2 is Final Fantasy 12. It's extraordinarily long, (finished at 160 hrs, I think?) but really engaging the whole way through. Huge replay value too~ Just an amazing game.

That game always bugged the crap outta me with its failings.... but I'm probably just a snoooob....
As far as games that I think are pretty much awesome, the first thing that comes to mind is Psychonauts. That is the best game ever.
Ever.
Kingdom hearts also makes me lol, and I suggest investing heavily in it if you haven't already...
Final Fantasy X is fun, but Tidus is a whiny bitch, and that can get kind annoying seeing as you're forced to be him, so bolster yourself with ps1 Final Fantasies as well.
FFX-2 is meh.
Katamari Damacy is awesome and weird, but We <3 Katamari was a letdown because the story died.
Never buy Spyro anything ever, unless it's games 1, 2, or 3 for ps1.
Any of the Harvest Moon games are strangely fun, but there's only one or two that I know of for the ps2, and Save the Homeland suuuuucks. I play it for nostalgia, but you only have a year to make the people love you, keep your animals alive, find a girlfriend, and save your farm from getting bulldozed, so not only are you forced to interact with people, but when the year's up, you have to make friends all over again.

Ahem, er, yes. I don't have very many games for ps2, myself, but the one's I like I've recommended.
Psychonauts especially.
Ignore my rantings there; I always get a little carried away.
At any rate, though I've never played them, I've heard that Star Ocean, Devil May Cry, God of War, and Xenosaga are good.

I think we all know that horrible feeling you get when you lose something you've done that you really like (and/or plan to profit from - i suppose that must be worse D: ) I'm sure your gorgeous art will get tons of attention without the whorishness of fandom ;'D

... A-anyway. You need to play Psychonauts if you haven't - It's very quirky and cool. Urrrr Also obligatory Silent Hill 2 suggestion. It's quite wonderful if you don't mind survival horror.
