RIP

Journal Entry: Thu Feb 11, 2010, 4:16 PM
Alexander McQueen killed himself, as you may (if fashion is an interest of yours) have heard already. It's, well, tragic to lose such talented artist this way. I can't really come up with a less tired way of stating it. McQueen was my favorite designer, his collections were otherworldly and sophisticated, his imagination was always beautifully expressed through his designs. He was a huge inspiration to many, I am truly sorry that we will not be seeing any more of his work.

I just heard about his death :( I'm so sad he died, I started getting into fashion over the summer. He seemed like a real artist who poured his heart into the clothes, and made them into pieces of art rather then clothes you wear, at least for some of them.
I was thinking it'd be neat to make a sculpture of a woman with his clothing on her in his honor, only thing is what to choose! May he rest in peace :tears:

I love him and his work too. I'm a recovering fashion addict (escaped into painting), but i always look at McQueen's designs again and again for every season. Ethereal work. ;o;

I'm not into fashion that much but I knew that guy for sure, or his works. He was truly unique and I admired him from afar... What a pity T_T

I'd only just started getting into him and this happens! It's a damn shame, losing such a talent, and he will most definitely be missed.

This might sound bad, but I hope they still put on his Fall 2010 collection, if there is one. I can't think of a better way to honor how great he was at what he did.
